How Important Are Your Daily Thoughts?

Life-changing. Our mindset is a combination of our thoughts and beliefs. A thought or thinking is defined as a mental process that allows beings to model the world, and so to deal with it effectively according to their goals, plans, ends, and desires.

As we can see from above, thoughts literally affect how you perceive the world around you. According to several scientific studies, an average person has around 60,000 to 80,000 thoughts per day. That's a huge number, right? And a cumulative effect of these thoughts is the outlook that we have on our day-to-day life.

So it becomes essential for us to be careful and mindful about our everyday thinking. And I do know that thinking positive or happy all the time is not easy and possible. All I am saying is that we try to be conscious of our thoughts, to have a better view of the things around us.

Most of the time, we would have been so accustomed to certain thoughts that we don't even realize the impact they are having on our everyday life. Constantly thinking about unworthiness will make you see everything in the same way, it will make you ignore all the good things happening around you just because you aren't willing to accept them. We could try and shift our thoughts to gratitude instead of negative emotions like unworthiness.

Gratitude is the most powerful emotion and so are grateful thoughts. When you are constantly grateful for all the tiny things in life, you receive more to be grateful for. Take five minutes out every morning to write down or say out loud things that you are grateful for. I promise you that this is going to drastically change your outlook on life.

Here are a few negative thoughts to avoid:

- I look so ugly today.

- Why does it always happen to me? (Avoid playing the victim card)

- Will I ever succeed in life?

- Why can't I have what he/she does?

- I am not capable of doing that.

- I am not worthy of love/attention/care.

Stop right there. Being conscious of your thoughts does not mean you stop having negative thoughts. It just means that you identify them when they do occur to you.

So the next time you catch yourself saying any of the above or more to yourself, be sure to replace those thoughts with these affirmations:

- I am absolutely gorgeous, even with all of my flaws.

- Everything happens for a good reason.

- I am grateful for the beautiful life that I already have and the one that I am building for myself.

- What I desire will eventually find me.

- I am absolutely capable of doing everything that I dream of.

- I radiate love and kindness to everyone around me and am worthy of receiving the same.

We experience the world through the lens of our thoughts. And the more we try to bring positivity into our minds, the more positivity we bring into the world around us.

But it is always easier said than done, and few may find it more difficult than others, and that is totally okay. And it is also totally fine to seek professional or medical help when you start losing control over your negative thoughts. All you have to remember is that you are not alone, and you've got this!

Sending tons of warmth and love to anyone reading this!
