With the world moving around us at such a fast pace, it is only natural that we get carried away with it too. Constantly stuck in a mundane loop of routine and work. We become auto-wired to do the same things we have always been doing. The hustle culture has been wrongly glorified for such a long time, making it seem like a sign of success. I am not telling you that working hard for your dreams is wrong, all I am saying is that it is crucial to take a break from the constant chaos and work.
Most of us forget that rest is essential for productivity. We can't keep going by burning the midnight oil and completely burning ourselves out. Our biological body needs an adequate amount of rest to keep going. And as soon as our bodies reach their maximum limit they start to give us signals, asking us to stop. So we must identify these signals and take action.

>Signs From Your Body:
-Constant fatigue
No matter how much you eat or sleep, you are constantly feeling tired. Food and sleep are not the only things you need to survive. The constant stress of work or college contributes a lot more than you give it credit for.
Try to do something relaxing, close that laptop, take time off socials and read a book or go for a walk. Do something to relax both your body and mind.
-Unable to concentrate
There is only so long your mind can go before it starts to feel the load. Doing too many things at once, putting a lot of undue pressure on yourself, constantly pushing yourself. Maybe try doing a small meditation or take some time off work to put your mind back in order.
-Mood swings
Unexplained mood swings throughout your day or the week. Inadequate rest causes various hormonal variations which can lead to this. Sleep is crucial for the body to reset and for it to function at its best.

-Physical manifestations like cold sores
Cold sores often manifest around the lips and may be triggered by varying hormonal levels or even stress. So now you know that it is time to take it slow and lay off the stressful work for some time.
-Irritability
This is an easy one to understand. A bad or disturbed sleep often leaves us irritable throughout the day. What would happen with continuous lack and insufficient sleep? It is a good sign to take action and catch up on some of the lost sleep.
-Falling sick often
This is a major red flag and one you need to pay heed to. Falling sick around 2-4 times a year is normal, but when the count rises abnormally, take it as a big red signal from your body. Constantly working and insufficient rest lead to a weak immune system.

Our bodies are our best friends who work so hard for us each and every day. So it is important that we reciprocate and show the love they deserve. Our biological bodies are a miracle and function in amazing ways. Always remember that taking rest is okay, it is important and it is required. Rest is not a want, it is a need for our body. So let's show ourselves some love and slow down once in a while.
